Angela Rayner

Angela Rayner is the Labour MP for Ashton-under-Lyne and deputy leader of the Labour Party. Rayner, born in 1980, has a background in social care; she has worked as a care worker, has been a trade union representative with Unison and was appointed as party chair and national campaign coordinator for the 2021 local elections. She holds the roles of shadow minister for the Cabinet Office and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, and shadow secretary of state for the future of work.
